Sorry my post went over your head. Better luck next time.
Sorry you are profoundly ignorant of what constitutes sexual selection, and ran away with an ad hominem attack when I pointed out this ignorance. What's even more impressive is that you linked an article about sexual selection, then inanely linked the denial of serving openly as a homosexual in the United States military with sexual selection, when denying a homosexual the right to serve openly does not in any way inhibit that individual's ability to attract a member of the opposite sex for reproductive purposes. Indeed, given that homosexuals who wish to reproduce do not set about obtaining genetic material from the opposite sex in the traditional manner makes your claim all the more moronic. But then, given that you obviously haven't a clue about sexual selection beyond the name, which you apparently confuse with natural selection - which, by the way, doesn't have anything to do with whether or not one can serve openly in the United States military - this is hardly surprising.
Now, care to actually articulate why you think denying a homosexual the right to serve openly in the armed forces decreases the likelihood of that individual attracting a reproductive mate, or are name-calling and running away all you have?

Obviously you are having a hard time understanding the context of Darwin's theories of sexual selection in relation to the natural aversion on homosexuality in species populations. Where in my posts do I state gays should not be allowed to serve openly in the Military. The OP's original post was centered on one groups obsession with the DADT policy of the military and its potential detriment on the military if repealed. Homosexuality in the context of Human evolution is a sexual aberration. It is a trait that has been allowed to exist purely through the effects of living in a civilized societies. Homosexuality can disappear and the human species would endure in a natural environment. Quite the opposite if heterosexuality disappears. Again sorry you are having difficulties understanding the relationship of Darwin theories of Sexual Selection, Evolution and its impact on human societies.

I'm having a hard time understanding it too - mainly because it doesn't add up. I had a "natural aversion" to swimming when I was a kid, but once I took swimming lessons, that aversion disappeared. Just because something is unfamiliar or seems strange doesn't mean it's due to natural selection.
