These are not facts. They are selected opinions expressed in powerful rhetoric by a politically-motivated professional group -- one which, it comes as no surprise, has largely surrendered its credibility by equating drug abuse with therapy, and which has a vital stake in preferring to describe pathological behaviors as variations within an ever-widening circle of relative normalcy.
The FACT remains that homosexuality is a "disorder" to the extent that it represents forms of human sexual expression which, were they universal, would result in the extinction of the species. This is irrefutable, unless one is willing to argue either that the suicide of our species would not constitute a disorder, or that the mere existence of an anomaly disqualifies its being described as abnormal.
Cite as many surveys or white papers as you wish, but unless you are morbidly disatisfied with your existence, be grateful (covertly, if you prefer) that your parents engaged in "normal" sex at least once....
It is a disorder, and it's not making any judgments. I have OCD, a disorder. I'm not bad, and neither are homosexuals. Neither of us chose to have disorders, but we still do. Why is it so horrible admitting truth?
so have you ever asked a gay or lesbian what they thought? Saying, "hey you have a mental disorder becuase you're gay?"
Better question, do you know any gays or lesbians?
