Well, you could always go rob a convenience store or three to get the money you need. I mean, that's what Obamacare does, except the government does the robbing for you and then gives you the money in the form of health insurance. Obamacare is nothing more than income redistribution combined with anti-incentives to insurance companies that will eventually put them out of business and force people into a government plan (his real objective).
I'm more than happy to give up a portion of my salary to help others with medical conditions. I've been without insurance, I've been hit with ridiculous premiums, I've suffered physically and emotionally because of it.
So if I can stop others from going through what I went through at the age of TWELVE, then yes, I'll gladly give a little money.
Personally I think insurance and medicine should be strictly non-profit. I doubt that's ever going to happen, though.

Well, God bless you JetJockey. You have demonstrated what the virtue of charity is all about. Giving some money to help people voluntarily is a noble thing. Doing it at the point of a government gun (or IRS agent) is socialism. One is a wonderful thing and the other is pure evil. Maybe more people would feel more charitable of so much of our income wasn't being confiscated by the government.
If you can afford it but then in 2014 they will force you whether you can or not;no choice. My company policy which is already starting the guideline in the bill this year will go up 18.9% to cover the mandates.Insurance is more costly basically not less because of the mandates. hat is with any new hires not getting any company payments oif the retire before 65. Those presentlky work will get company beenfits o insurnace based on years they worked if retiring before 65. The highest is 30 plus year with 50%.
Wasn't that a large part of the anointed ones argument for?
I think one side and the other will always debate costs. The success is that people who were excluded from receiving needed health care now can obtain it. Not much of a question in my mind. If we want to be land of the free and home of the brave this is a good 1st step.

Most people DON'T give to charity though. You really, honestly think that if the government stopped taking money that people would give it freely?? HA. There would be a lot more blinged out SUVs, but charity donations probably wouldn't go up any.
People are greedy and selfish until something unfortunate happens to them or their family. I should know...my family was one of those greedy, selfish families who NEVER gave to charity until I got sick. I'm not proud of it, believe me, but they're trying to make up for it.
