Can you define "small business"?

How much money can a business make to qualify as "small business"?
Can it make, say, $2,000,000? Or do you think a small business doesn't even make that kind of money.

As far as envy, no. Its quite simple a tax cut makes a difference to the working class, the middle class, its not going to make a difference to the wealthy, they are still going to be wealthy.

98% of small business's have less than $250,000 of taxable income.

Clearly it had an impact on jobs.. Unemployment stayed under 5% for years.. It increased revenues at the same time. Capital gains tax revenue for example DOUBLED when the tax cuts were passed.

Unless the wealthy have to take the money from YOU to pay their taxes. Do you really think Bill Gates would write a check? NO.. he'd increase the cost on Windows, Office etc to pay. Buffet will increase the cost of insurance, tell DQ to increase their costs..

The rich is not going to pay the bill.. they can, and will pass the cost onto the consumer just like they are with the healthcare costs.

The "Get the rich" mentality does nothing but increase the costs of living on the poor.. Hopefully one day you'll understand this.

Fewer jobs were created under Bush than any other President going back to FDR, that includes Presidents who only served one term, or didn't even serve a full term.

The capitals gains revenue for example likely increased more as a result of technology advances than anything else.

Revenue from income taxes and total revenue actually dropped between 2000-2003. It took until 2005 for total revenues to go back to the 2000 levels, and 2006 for revenues from income taxes to go back to 2000 levels. Even when they increased, those increases were at FAR FAR lower levels than the increases during the 90's.

They show that taxpayers with incomes above $100,000 per year (in 1992 dollars) have an elasticity of 0.57, much higher than the 0.4 result for the whole sample. Below $100,000, the elasticity is much lower; it is 0.11 for those in the $50,000-$100,000 group and 0.18 for those in the $10,000-$50,000. These results are based on a study of the NBER's panel of tax returns over the 1979-90 period.
High Income Taxpayers are More Responsive to Marginal Tax Rates

At this point I don't think you have any interest in actual debate and instead are dead set on seeing how many pages you can get on a thread. I have one other possible conclusion but I don't want to think you're the dumbest person alive.

Let me explain to you what you just said. Lets first start with:

AGI - Adjusted Gross Income

So when you see:

Quote:
Adjusted Gross Income Shares, 1980-2008 (Percent of total AGI earned by each group)
You then said:
Quote:
no increase has been more than 3%... more like 1%... and they're still complaining?
And right before that you said:

Let me repeat that for you in case you don't understand.

You're the one "complaining" in case you can't comprehend what's going on around you.

So has anyone come to a conclusion on taxes yet? Is the government stealing more or less of your money than a few years ago?
ahhhh it doesn't matter. All the money they steal is put to good use. I can point to all the cost effective, successful programs the Federal government runs with my stolen money. Lets see there's um.. er...
