most abortions occur during the first trimester. the "baby" can not live outside the womb.
do you believe that a woman should be forced to take to term and deliver a baby against her will, what should her punishment be after, does she give up the child or should she be forced to raise it? or do you prefer women seeking out back alley abortions that they die from instead?
I do not want anyone to die. We can see Americans will suspend the Right to Life when their agenda suits them, be it abortion, war, etc. When does YOUR Right to Life get suspended, and who will "choose" that?
It's kind of like pornography. It's hard to define but you know it when you see it. If I had to give it a shot I'd say it is a woman who hates men, tried to push the view that all women are victims, pushes for more than equal rights, is almost always bitter, hates men some more. If this does not apply to you then don't worry about it.
I've never understood the connection between privacy and abortion. Wether this is or is not a 'right' to privacy, the reality is that there simply IS NO PRIVACY in the US anymore. You are on a camera almost everywhere you go. If you doubt that watch a true crime show and see how many survelance caperas there are at almost any crime scene. We all carry cell phones that can track us anywhere we go. Our credit card companies know more about us that our closest friends do. There is no privacy left anymore.
Just because YOU never understood the connection between privacy and abortion doesn't mean it doesn't exists as defined by the Supreme Court of the United States.

But you are the first people concerned about reducing the cost of welfare and other social spending. A primary issue for many women that decide to get an abortion is that they do not have the resources to take care of a child.
You want to criticize a woman that gets an abortion and you also want to criticize woman that apply for public assistance to take care of their children.

Again a woman has the legal right to get her abortion. IT'S HER CHOICE!
So don't argue with conservatives anymore who say that war of choice is ok, capital punishment is jury choice, assisted suicide is doctor choice, etc etc etc.
Liberals have no basis to argue with conservatives anymore on ANY Right to Life issues anymore, and vice versa. Someone else's life is always someone else's "CHOICE".
