How are the TEA partiers going to be any different than the current Republicans? How is this party going to be any different than the one of the Bush era?
You're talking about constituency, but I'm going to answer the question of whats the difference between the 'tea party' and the 'republican party'. The tea party isn't a bona fide party with intentions of having a representative for a unique approach towards governance. It's intentions are to disrupt a system they're unhappy with but have no constructive alternative plan to offer, and so they are led around playing blame game endlessly. Not a single member (at their blog site or in this forum or in any coverage I've lent my ear to YTD) has any clue about how their government works, or has a semblance of understanding how economics works. I base this assessment not on statements from media or OPED, but from the very statements/ posters of tea party members.
The republican party is a bona fide party. They're familiar with the system as it is and have clear definitions/ knowledge of what governments responsibility is and what is/ isn't in it's capacity to deliver. This would be why the fans of social conservativism will forever be disappointed by any party they elect, no matter how they stomp. What they're asking for, their expectations, cannot be delivered in a nation with a constitution. They'd need to move to Iran where morality is thoroughly legislated by a mullah, secular law comes second.

The Tea Party movement is not a political party and is very loosely organized. I receive E-Mails from my local group, sign petitions they promote, E-Mail my representatives about key votes when prompted and attend the rallies. That is the extent of my connection to the group.

It is obvious from your post that you not a single clue what you are talking about. The only things I have seen protested at any gatherings I have attended are the unconstitutional expansion of the federal government and out of control spending by same.

Default Obama has been his own stimulus plan.....

It pleases me to see that the closed minded and myopic segment of the electorate has no comprehension of the TP phenom. Unable to grasp what is happening, they need to stretch and twist the facts to fit their distorted perspective. Well twist away.

Just sit back and enjoy. Wonder with wide eyed amazement what turned your little politically correct world upsdie down. Take comfort in the world that MSNBC and CNN portray.

We really do need dissenting opinion to affect mainstream policies, however, when the end of spectrum policies try to replace mainstream views we have a problem. Fortunately we now have a solution to decades of decline and a current administration that has clearly defined, highlighted and packaged a social, economic and political policy that will serve as our target.

Thank you for such outstanding work! You can leave now.
