I know this isn't a "scientific" observation but after wading though the internet I am left with the distinct impression that american society is reaching a boiling point of anger and frustration with the government. Also interesting is that instead of protesting on the streets we are taking to the internet en mass to voice disapproval. (we must be lazy )
So what does everyone else think? For those who lived it, were other key points in history like this, or is this nothing compared to back then?

That is what happens if "hope and change" is hot air...people get angry...

And to think those of us who didn't cry during the inauguration were considered shallow and unpatriotic. How could people not see the bluster and BS from the very begining?
Before the internet, it was the local coffee shop. The armchair pundits of Smalltown, and Big town got a java rush, and "discussions" became hotter than the coffee.
Nah. It's just that in recent days, the angry minority has whined and cried the loudest and most often (at town halls, on internet forums, through right-wing blogs, through "protests" and "rallies" organized by FOX News, etc), so many people have evidently been fooled into believing that said angry minority encompasses the majority of Americans. In reality, it does not.
No, not even close. Just those with the problems are just screaming the loudest.
I agree. I actually think the percentage of people who are angry and mistrustful is pretty small. They are just making the most noise, and they make the most interesting news stories. People were angry and mistrustful of Bush/Cheney and company, and made their voices heard last November.
