Politics used to be solemn and cerebral, expressed by dignified, intelligent people over serious matters. I was much younger and this is how it seemed at least. Now, we have regressed into the frivilous and the folly, tabloid politics. It is quite a shame.
In particular, the conservative candidates are absolutely pathetic. From that hick-sounding, simple-minded Sarah Palin to the idiotic rambling racists Rush Limbaugh and Glen Beck. Republicans have lowered the bar and O'Donnell the latest example of that. No substance, no character, no integrity, and certainly no business being in any prominent position.
"Well then, why aren't monkeys still evolving into humans?"
And right off the bat she shows that she knows nothing of evolution, yet discounts it. Based on this and all the other gems that have spewed forth from her gaping maw, I can safely say she is completely insane.
Just because I am looking to move to NC doesn't mean I live there. There are states that border NC. Oh and yes I do think she is brilliant. People that are attacked constantly by the left means they must be doing something to scare the hell out of the left because if they weren't such a threat the left would not be going crazy over her nomination.
You're kidding, right? You honestly think Christine O'Donnell is brilliant? Bites tongue....
When she refused to give any more national interviews, she was indirectly admitting being an idiot. Sarah Palin would never have the courtesy to do this favor for Republicans. My only regret with O'Donnell's decision is that it will be that much less entertaining for the rest of us.
Would she really be any worse or more out of touch than say, Biden, Pelosi, Kerry, Gore, Bush, Franken, Obama, or Reid? Why not have a conservative that's screwy, not so smart and unqualified? Why only have liberals? DC has become a total circus, one more clown in red amongst the blue might not be such a bad thing.
