Yup thats the spirit, be against something because of who is in favor of it (well at least you have the GOP motto down to a T)

The entire bill is posted in this thread. What part of the bill, other than the fact Obama favors it do you have issues with?

Un-American.

Lets see...

You making choices for yourself... Conservative. The individual

Government making choices for you and a penalty if you refuse their only choice... Progressive control of society. The government

Nice try, but you have the roles reversed in a total lie, to suit your Progressive agenda. The end justifies the means. Fabricate and lie, so we can take and stay in power to try like hell, to control everyone's behavior.

If you are so pro-moving jobs and companies overseas like the republicans do, you should join them in china and leave the US for the true americans

Actually it's not.
I'm against any legislation that empowers our government with more revenue.

The truth is that the Republican's would oppose this bill no matter what was in it or not in it. Their corporate donors don't like it, so down the tubes it goes. Worse, if they gain control of either House of Congress in November, you'll never see a bill like this submitted again.

The People will continue to suffer the loss of their livelihoods in the name of increased corporate profit and not one, single Republican member of the Senate will give a damn.

Remember that on election day.

so you approve a token bill that will do nothing...are you saying its better to have a crap bill than to have nothing....

what is it with people today..do you really think this is going to stop anything

look back at history..in 1993 clinton said nafta would create jobs...it did OVERSEAS... clinton pushed for many freetrades to include getting china into the WTO....bush expanded it more....and so is obama......we have lost over 44 million jobs since 1993 thanks to BOTH PARTIES....you realy think this garbage bill is worth the paper its printed on.....

read the words in this bill it does NOTHING......."create incentives".....why not repeal the actual problem......they wont..neither party...even then Senator Obama pushed for and got OFTA, free trade with Oman.....

....what does it do....:

This bill will give companies a two-year holiday from their share of Social Security payroll withholding taxes for each employee they hire to replace a worker at a foreign-based facility.........a 2 year tax holiday from SS .....isnt SS paying more this year than it took in.......just how will that REALY create or save USA jobs...........wow , the company MIGHT save 6000 on each employee...yet it they move off shore they will save 50k on each employee.........so a SS holiday is nothing

The Creating American Jobs and Ending Offshoring Act would bar companies from taking tax credits or deductions for the cost of closing a U.S.-based facility to move the operation overseas.Companies could still take deductions for severance and job placement services for employees who lose their jobs as a result of a U.S. plant closing. Under the legislation, companies that close a U.S.-based business and expand it overseas would no longer be allowed to defer U.S. income taxes on foreign subsidiaries.............hmmm.....bar from taking tax credits.......but still can take deductions for severance.......no longer defer............in short............it does NOTHING

The Congressional Budget Office “has estimated the bill would add $720 million to the federal budget deficit over 10 years, meaning the Senate would have to waive pay-as-you-go budget rules to advance the legislation, even if it survives the procedural votes planned for it

republicans are bought and paid for by big business...democrats are bought and paid for by big FOREIGN business

The only off shore jobs Democrats care about killing are those on oil rigs in the Gulf of Mexico.

It's far, far overdue, but the Republican's have vowed to kill it.

Bill Text - 111th Congress (2009-2010) - THOMAS (Library of Congress):

More liberal BS.

THe dems have a super majority and could pass anything they wanted.

Why not just repeal all of Clinton's giveaways, like NAFTA and China most favored nation trade status?
