"A 16-year-old from Arlington Heights who burglarized an apartment with two friends killed three fish by pouring condiments in their bowl because he didn’t want to leave any witnesses, police said."
I'm sorry but that's funny as hell. I'm an animal lover myself but it was a goldfish, I used to feed them live to my Oscars by the dozen years ago. I've got to see a picture of these brilliant robbers.
Sadly, they'll probably have animal cruelty charges heaped on top of the burglary charges. Or more likely, the burglary will be tacked onto the animal cruelty.
Sounds like a good "pain and suffering" civil suit in the making for the owners victimized by these teen career criminals in the making.
Quote:
The teen was charged with burglary and cruelty to animals for breaking in and pouring hot sauce, ketchup, mustard and spices into the tank of three goldfish in an apartment on the 2100 block of South Goebbert Road, police said. Two other teens — a 15-year-old from Arlington Heights and a 16-year-old from Des Plaines — also were charged with burglary.
The one teen told police that upon leaving the scene, he said to his friends, “We can’t let them live, they’re witnesses,” officers said.
This is almost non believable. Funny and ignorant, and stupid, and what a bunch of morons.
Sorry Fish or no Fish, if these were my pet fish, these guys would answer to me, being a very devout avid animal lover. Fish or no fish, these guys are plain nuts. Hope they see fish swiming in their dreams. If your going to tell me that these idiots seriously believed these fish were witnesses, what in the hell were they smoking, or inhaling.
Arlington Heights has great public schools. Most of the people that live there are affluent or middle-middle class and above. Perhaps these kids were in the minority of the income level for that suburb.
Des Plaines is another story. One of the kids (the oldest one) is from Des Plaines.

Looks like three teenagers are six fish short of a combo meal at Long John Silver's. *ba-dum-ch!*
Thanks for a good laugh, i needed it after the big Valentine's Dinner i made, now time to relax and thank you for the laugh. Having a great glass of white wine, care to join me.
