The reason why the education is so bad here is because of bad parenting... Do you su ggest the government move into people's h omes to make them take education seriously?

what the hell do these liberals want?

Ok... now what's the point of this NAACP woman? That we are guilty that the parents don't educate their kids? That their kids drop out? Now we have to take care of their kids too?

apparently she thinks throwing more money (ie handouts) will suddenly make parents care about educatino. She's not NAACP, she's children's defense fund...

And notice she's bringing up religion with Noah's ark? Why aren't liberals outraged? She's on public property!

I would like you all to google "Saskatchewan" and take a good long and hard look at what has been accomplished there with a cooperative effort between the government and private enterprise. The government built "Potash Corp" so your contention that the government does not create jobs that build wealth and prosperity is just plain WRONG. Sask. has probably the most socialist system of any government in the western democracies and yet it's economy is booming. How is that possible if your statement has any truth to it at all? The fact that the "People" own and run key areas of the economy in no way diminishes the fact that these ventures both provide good paying jobs, create wealth and develop resourses. In many cases they do it far better than a private company either could or would. Just take a look at some facts of the matter. In Canada most electrical utilities are owned by the people. They provide a superior level of service and at a lower cost than almost any Privately owned American utility does for it's customers.
No oil company would invest in the development of the oil sands in Alberta so the federal government bought a large oil company, "Fina" and proceeded to develop a resourse that the oil industry just was not interested in. Well it was a loosing proposition because the cost of producing that oil was more than market price at the time but it opened up and began the process of exploiting a resourse that will produce Trillions of dollars of wealtyh for Canadians and also as an aside provide the USA with the energy security that they sooo badly need. I could cite litterally hundreds of such stories that prove without one single doubt that public investment in business of all kinds is not only equal to private investment in the benefits it produces for the society but in many cases is far superior to it and produces far more benefits to a much larger segment of the population.
Too many americans have been brainwashed for too long by the forces of economic control and power and I truly wish that more would take the time and energy needed to really study the whole issue and then would be able to discern the truth from the propaganda they are fed every day.

This isn't Canada and never will be if I have any say in it.

We sail by our own sail. The wind is our only enemy. The USA is unique for a reason. The time is now, to return to what this nation was founded upon. Big government is the farthest from the sight of the Nations revolution with a big bad government. That is why the people are waking up and realizing they have more power than our government, not the other way around like Canada.

She's ending with a prayer. Liberals, are you offended? This is public property. Recall the football field thread?
