Gallup Finds U.S. Unemployment at 10.1% in September

Friday's Unemployment Rate Report Likely to Understate

Quote:
The government's final unemployment report before the midterm elections is based on job market conditions around mid-September. Gallup's modeling of the unemployment rate is consistent with Tuesday's ADP report of a decline of 39,000 private-sector jobs, and indicates that the government's national unemployment rate in September will be in the 9.6% to 9.8% range.
Let us be aware of the trickery of obama and his minions as they try to mitigate the damage this report will do to their political lives.

You won't see the truth tomorrow. It will be interesting how they justify their numbers.

And Gallup's methodology is better because? Does their methodology mean that tomorrow's numbers are the ONLY ones incorrect, or does it meant that all the numbers we've seen in this recession, starting in late 2007, are incorrect? Should they all be adjusted accordingly, or just tomorrow's?

Great questions particularly in light of the fact that the OP constantly criticizes Gallup's polling methods when they report something she doesn't personally agree with. Yet all of sudden their results are credible.

Fascinating.

I see that you trust Gallup when they go the right direction and don't when they don't. I prefer Rassmussen but most lefties don't like them for the fact that Scott Rassmussen is a Republican supporter. They haven't been doctoring their daily presidential poll at all since they got down to -12 which pisses me off as much as anything could. I have considered not looking at that place because they don't have him at -21 anymore.

The thread topic is about unemployment. Gallup apparently has a different methodology that calculates a higher unemployment rate than the feds.

I agree, but some people want to make Obama look as bad as possible.

Gallup surveys for unemployment on a daily basis with results compounded into a 3 day rolling average, the feds chose only one day in the month to conduct their survey and publish those results.
