It's the exact opposite of your right wing B.S.

Government spending and government provided universal health care go hand in hand with lower rates of unemployment.
You keep saying the more social services and govt run healthcare lead to lower unemployment??????

Why would an employer be more likely to hire people if there are more social services? That makes zero sense. There is zero correlation between social services and employment.

The U.S. provides more social services than they ever have. They have more control of health care than ever. But the unemployment rate is not lower than ever.

The U.S. had less social programs and less control of healthcare from 1984-2007. Yet unemployment was lower then. Explain?

The U.S. had less social services and no control of healthcare in the 20s and the late 40s and the 50s and 60s. Yet unemployment was lower than now. Explain?

Anybody that makes the claim the US provides more social services than Europe should be ignored. I'm sorry. You are not living in reality

I never said that.

I was comparing these United States in 2009-2010 to the same United States in other years.

It goes on here. It goes on there. Governments respond to yearly budget constraints and budget surpluses. Recessions come, recessions go.

The fact of the matter is their social safety nets are secure.

LOL what is happening is a fundametal shift. increase in retirement age, dramatic revamp of health care etc.

You really need to get over there and see what is happenening. The US and Europe are going in opposite directions.

Hardly. Most social services like NHS etc. are still intact.

Argue on. I love it. So quick to defend America and its ways. America's underclass is huge and people die here by the dozens every day. By the time the smell of the decaying dead reach your middle class noses I will be gone from here. It is one thing to die nobly and bravely with the knowlege of what one is dying for. It is quite another to just watch things go to hell around you and everyone you know is stumbling on, blindly, towards unemployment and death and don't even know it.

Depends on how you define 'intact'. They're decentralizing national health care because it's costly and unwieldy. They're becoming more like us and Obama wants us to be more like them!

The EU rate in wiki is April of 2010. That same period in the USA was a tiny bit higher.

US employment rate rises 9.9% in April despite declines in 34 states | TopNews New Zealand

The fact of the matter is the EU and USA have virtually the same rates despite the government spending in Europe being much higher.
