Media baron Rupert Murdoch Thursday urged members of Congress to reach across party lines to fix "our broken system of immigration." (http://www.miamiherald.com/2010/09/30/1850748/bloomberg-murdoch-ask-congress.html - broken link)

So Fox News is not a right-wing conservative media news outlet after all.

Its not often that I find myself agreeing with Murdoch.

Perhaps Rup should have considered that before fanning the flames of partisanship for the last two years.

I don't think anyone believes our immigration system isn't broken. Personally I do support bipartisan legislation that may include some amnesty. And I am a conservative.

But even the most ardent anti-immigration types would say we need to fix our broken system. It just comes down to how you want to fix it.

Murdoch is a businessman. He saw a possibility to fill a niche audience that he knew would make money. He took it and made a lot of money. I think I remember seeing somewhere during the last election he endorsed Clinton. No I'm not gonna go try to dig that up to prove. Just remember reading it somewhere.

Let's see.

FOX News rules the cable stations. In fact, in the latest poll, 44% of Americans trust FOX for their news. 25% trust CNN, and a whopping 12% trust MSNBC.

NBC news division was bought out by Comcast for a cup of coffee and a bag of peanuts. They were robbed.

GE owns the rest of NBC. Jeff Immelt is the CEO of GE.

Jeff Immelt is also an economic adviser to Obama.

NBC is a cheerleader for all things Obama, in fact, some of their "reporters" get chills up their leg when they hear him speak.

"Green Jobs" is a major focus of this administration. GE makes wind turbines and they used to make Solar panels.

How come none of you liberals complain about this obvious conflict of interest?

Nope. He's a predator telling conservatives everything they think they want to hear and steering them to exactly where he wants them to go. Even against their own country. Even to the detriment of their own party. Even to the detriment of their stated principles. I despise that man for the damage he's done to them but they've lapped up vomit like dogs.

Much like Hollywood, HuffPo, Wash Post, NYT, MSNBC, CNN, and LAT have done to you on the left? What's the difference? Both sides are being played like a fiddle.

All Murdoch proved in this testimony is that he never watches Fox and has no clue what goes on in its programing.

I don't think anyone ever suggested Murdoch was a "Conservative" except the lefties that hate what he does with his media holding.

To Mr. Murdoch and all other Progressive elitist I say: NO AMNESTY!

It is a crime to cross into this country and stay without going through the proper border checks and legal channels. Identity theft to use a fake or stolen SSN# through which to obtain employment is a crime. Illegal aliens ARE criminals. Deport them all, bill their countries of origin for resources used, fine the employers and/or employment agencies, and amend the US Consitution to get rid of "birthright citizenship" for children whose parents are here illegally. The sins of the father and mother indeed affect the child, no reason to encourage further generations of social entitlement program seeksers.
