Because the tax rate in China is lower. Because China is where their huge machinery is needed and they won't have to ship it. Labor is cheap. Environmental regualtions are not onerous to businesses. As a previous poster pointed out, no unions with which to battle. The list goes on.....
Our Democratic lawmakers will find a way to screw it up in China, just givem a little bit.

Oh you mean they exploit slave labor and work people to the bone? Is that what you propose America does? Should we repeal the entire 20th century and just go back to the good old days of gilded age capitalism with no regulations and no rules?

Not for us. But it's ok if those darned Chinese still have to work as if the 20th Century never happened. Who cares, they are barely human anyway . . . and communist . . . and . . . . they aren't our problem anyway.
China is Greed’s triumph on Earth. No rules, low taxes and plenty of illegal workers to exploit. It is a capitalist's dream. Until the central government lets enough development so China is self sufficient and then nationalizes all the factories and keeps the investments for their own. Private property is not sacred in China.
That is such an audacious rip off I think it will happen sometime in the next 50 years. They are not stupid and play a long game.
