There seems to be a common thread among the union posters here...

I agree, not well thought out. I was unaware of this until a relative brought it up today. He pays $45 for every 1099 that his accountant prepares.

Partly because it's "make work" to keep the lawyers and accountants in business and the IRS can justify hiring a whole bunch of new people to process it all.... They need to keep piling stuff on to justify their ever expanding size.

Apparently some people think the government has the absolute right to take whatever it wants from every individual and every business in the US. If they decide they want 99.9% of all our gross incomes, then I guess we'd all be "cheating" by only giving them 99%.

Hand over your income to Government, since our elected Leaders have proven themselves such responsible fiscal managers of the money they've already confiscated. And fill out the forms that have corresponding regulations so complicated they could fill a library, with tons more added every year. Or better yet, hire someone because the tax laws are so obscenely complicated. That's surely what the Founding Fathers had in mind.

At least we all got "security" for trading our freedom, right?

Wrong.

Yeah, probably a parasite living off of the taxpayers like so many who are wiling to chant the liberal mantra of "tax the rich". Well that includes the small business owner who's business may just clear $250K too. But, they don't get that either and how that is no way to grow a business and provide more jobs. The attack is on the middle class, not the rich; seriously wake up people!

As a small business owner, this bill is absolute B.S. It's a bill to match up every penny spent to every penny taken in. So the greedy SOB's don't miss out on a penny of tax money. At the business owner's expense to make sure the nosey and controlling federal government knows what's going on in the private sector.

My CPA said if this is not repealed, the cost to each business would be off the map. He also said many CPA's will leave the business. Another business going to be driven out of business.

UPnort- Why would CPAs leave business? It's more work for them. I call BS on your CPA. They ought to be lovin' it.

The price of everything is going up, including non-compliance with Federal Law.

Just makes the economy go more underground.

Doesn't it just bother you that most will get away with it? Look on the bright side: it's better for small business who can circumvent the federal laws much more easily.
