A liberal friend of mine gushes about Obama because of the way he handled himself when he hosted a bi-partisan HCR summit last year, and when he got in front of a bunch of Republicans and worked the room.

Did he use a teleprompter there, or did he just spend a lot of prep time? Maybe he's good at pushing his agenda but is bad at actual speech-giving?

I doubt that. I'm still waiting for that 3,000% reduction in health insurance premiums. When are we going to get it?

Boy, y'all are REALLY stretching to justify Bush using one and to condemn Obama for doing the same thing.

It would funny if it didn't reveal such a depth of hatred for the man.

Notice you are the ONLY poster to invoke the name of Bush? Even the kiss-butt NY Times noticed that Obama's TOTUS use is significantly more than his predecessors' usage. Why the adamant denial? Poor Barry....it is sooooo unfair!

It's been well noted in the press that obama has a severe dependency on TOTUS, more than any other modern president.

He takes it everywhere, even to middle schools for a 10 minute speech.

Maybe it's because I'm the only one who recognizes the hypocrisy.

But, let me ask you a question. Would you rather have a President who uses a high-tech teleprompter, or one who uses a low tech type?

Wow... you're comparing a couple of notes on a hand to reading an entire speech from the teleprompters word for word? You must be really desperate.

My point was that I think he's good at arguing for a cause--like HCR. I think speech-giving is a bit different. Maybe he doesn't take enough time to really learn what he's going to say in the speeches. Maybe he's just used to being to what to say.

On the other hand, we all know Bush had his issues with trying to sound intelligent, so I'm not necessarily bashing obama over this. I think both have their issues.

That's laughable. Where's my 3,000% health insurance premium reduction? Hmmm???
