Political Wisdom: The Sharron Angle Tape

The conversation reveals Angle almost desperate to show Ashjian they are like-minded, that they both disdain the major parties, but insistent that the Tea Party of Nevada contender could help Reid win if he doesn’t embrace her candidacy. Ashjian emphasizes he believes a third party is the only way and that he believes he can garner a fifth of the vote, which seems fantastically optimistic, to put it mildly.

Political Wisdom: The Sharron Angle Tape - Capital Journal - WSJ

Angle’s words may not have an immediate political impact, but they show what a profound challenge she and a handful of other Senate candidates pose to the Republican leadership, should they win. Angle’s view of herself is clearly of an insurgent, a subversive force within the GOP.

“We need to work from within,” she tells Ashjian. “And we have We’ve actually taken over the Washoe County Republican Party.”

Later, she tries to persuade Ashjian to endorse her because she will have “juice” he can tap into to get access to Sens. Jim DeMint, Tom Coburn and Mitch McConnell…
Here's how the GOP would spin it if this was the other way around:

"OMG OMG, she said she's got the Jews! Did you hear that? The Jews!!!! She's a fascist!!!"

What is it with teabaggers, I mean tea party folks sticking things in their mouths? Do you think her support will dip in the polls?

I think she's opened a big can of worms yes, and I think it will hurt her.

This makes me all the more excited to vote for her (and I have rarely had excitement when voting). I love her citicisms of the Republican party. This could appeal to independents who do not want an establishment candidate.

As for Ashijan. here in NV he is widely considered to be a Reid plant. He is only there to split the anti-Reid vote. If polls are correct he will be a non-factor.

If any of you could manage to get over your paranoia you might begin recognizing the truth of yourselves. I think Ashijan has a strong point but then again I don't get a vote. OR DO I? Should the rest of the nation hurl money bombs at Nevada the same way huge sums of money are being hurled at delaware? Here in wv more than a few were offended by your hate campaigns. More than a few.

You don't need to send money. Reid is on TV with his scare tactic negative ads every minute of the day and night. There is such a flood of anti-Angle commercials that it's amazing the race is as close as it is. That shows you how much people dislike the spend and bailout Democrat agenda.

Jay if your version of reform is to be disrupting session I can hardly see the difference between yourselves and the 'establishment' you claim to rail against. You're resorting to the same tactics and none of it is worthy of office. Think again about why those bailouts were necessary and what gave the financial sector license to steal.
