I'm not saying I agree or disagree with this legislation but the idea is you make breeding a dog so expensive people can't afford them. It's a common tactic used by activist as of late as a back door to get things they want. For example anti-gun activist were recently behind a push to have the EPA regulate and ban lead in bullets. You don't ban the bullet, you ban the material to make them.

My brother was just at the SPCA and he mentioned he was going on vacation and would be getting new dog after they got back. They asked what he was going to do with his current dog and when he told them it was going to a kennel for a week they told they wouldn't give him a dog.

As far as the rescues go I wouldn't touch one o those dogs either. The stipulations in the contract are ridiculous.

Every dog I've owned has come from a home, all mutts we got as puppies. If I were to purchase one I'd certainly research to find a reliable and reputable breeder.

Why am I not surprised that teabaggers dislike animals?
People should be limited to only 2 dogs unless they have at least an acre of land.

What would three Chihuahuas do with an acre of land?

Truth of the matter is that this legislation in Missouri does NOTHING to address the problem of unlicensed puppy mills nor does it make provisions to step up enforcement of the law.

The trolling and smear campaign of some CD posters against anyone affiliating with the Tea Party has sunk to a new low in this thread.
