Oh those poor Tea Party folks, I sure hope they didn't think they wouldn't be the subject of the same hit jobs used against elephants. Apparently any non-leftist point of view requires that you have lived your life in a pristine, perfect vacuum where you've never had a bad day/week/month/year. It must be wonderful to be part of the liberal contingent, no matter what you may do wrong, the standard answer apparently is " they're human" unlike those fawkin' conservatives.

The “on the dole” Tea-Baggers” you mention are riding the coat-tails of the Tea Party movement and IMO aren’t real Tea-Baggers to begin with (although they are employed and hence they are not completely “on the dole”). Good call though.
What I find funny is how so many people, mostly lefties, are afraid of Tea-Baggers to the point of being phobic; It reminds me of an article I read about homophobia where the homophobes are really homosexual in nature but in strong denial. Perhaps this is the case with the leftist here that focus on the term “Tea-Baggers” as a joint fantasy in the realm of homosexuality (or sexual covetousness) and class envoy. I would have never thought to look at a group of middle aged white guys (who are wealthy) then connect the term tea-baggers. But again, I am a confident, educated, Tea-Bagging, employed heterosexual who is above the poverty line and was taught years ago not to throw mud. But I guess a little mud can wash off.

I think the new term for these folks afraid of Tea-Baggers could be “blanco-androphobia” or “Dikephobia”

Happy searching!
I'm a moderate, and I fully admit I'm afraid of the tea party. It does scare me that you might win--not because this is some kind of football game where my team might lose, but because I think your proposals as a group are bat poop crazy and often dangerous.

Smaller government in the form of....what? Read the threads on this board. Forced sterilization of the mentally ill, abolishing abortion in cases of rape and incest, refusing to hire teachers who are gay, or unmarried teachers who sleep with their boyfriends....should I list a few more? I might get tired from typing. That's why you scare me--you talk about smaller government, and then actually propose THE EXACT OPPOSITE.

How about cutting back on some entitlement programs and forcing people to work? That would lower our taxes and make the economy prosper.

Didn't know those were on the official Tea Party Platform. Don't clump the lunatic fringe in with the TP. I can guarantee you that the majority of the members of the TP are members or supporters because they want smaller, more accountable government that lives within its means and nothing more.

I think that was its focus in the early days of TEA, but TP has been taken over by the far-right Republicans, including the social conservative issues.
You arent really listening to them then.

There is no Tp Candidate really since there is no Tp Party.

They arent far right. That isnt true they are back to what conservatives are but since the left has gone so far to the left it seems like they are going extreme right. When that isnt the case. They are going back to what conservatives stand for but they have gotten away from that also.

It is actually the democrat party that has moved away to the left.

What is crazy about reducing the size of the government and reducing the debt?
I'll tell you what is crazy. People who want to rely on the very same ones who put us in the horrible shape we are in now. WAKE UP!!!! The government is not here to raise you or save you. Quit looking to them for solutions to those problems. The government is not the master, it is the servant.
