. . . of The Weekly World News.

Those brilliant producers and hosts of Fox & Friends reported -- in shocked amazement -- that the city of Los Angeles had contracted to spend a billion dollars to buy jetpacks for their police and fire departments.

Brian Kilmeade, in all seriousness: “You gotta make up some rules, because you’re going to have jetpacks flying into choppers!”

There's only one problem. The Weekly World News is a farce publication that reports things like "Aliens Attack Vegas With Death Rays!"
"There are rumors that the death rays are merely sun rays that are being reflected off the glass of the Vdara Hotel, but WWN has learned the truth from our FBI sources:

“It makes sense. The U.N. just announced plans to form a panel to greet the aliens when they make their full-scale invasion in the near future. The aliens are moral beings, and the fact that they are striking at Las Vegas first is no surprise,” said UFO expert Shannon Begley."

And Fox News took this as a reliable source from which to gather news to report to their unsuspecting viewers. Of course they corrected the story when they were informed it was utter nonsense, but the fact that they believed it and reported on it as factual to begin with is stunning!

My thoughts exactly.

Think they'll start fact-checking now?

Oh, of course not. Whatever was I thinking.

Since it fits their message of "crazy California liberal government spending gone wild!" their BS meters were rendered inoperable.

Apparently not. CNN completely fabricated its story called "Operation Tailwind" claiming the US created a "Valley of Death" by using nerve gas in Vietnam in a broadcast they made in June 1998.

Which goes to prove that Fox News is as "Fair & Balanced" as CNN is "News You Can Trust."

And lets not forget all the fabricated stories Stephen J. Glass wrote for the New York Times.

Fox News emulates the liberal media, and you only think Fox is dumb enough? Well, that certainly tells everyone where your biases are, doesn't it? So much for integrity.
