If you hate the daily BS that you see on the news but would still like to know the news of actually important things that go on I have a suggestion. Watch either BBC or CBC news. They both are reliable to broadcast American news that matters and leave out all the stuipity.

With the advent of instant news and collaboration via the internet, I think people are just overwhelmed with information and opinion, and the intermixing of both.

I suggest people take a break. Quit reading the political news for a while. Take a break from this forum. Guaranteed to make you feel better and maybe help you gather your thoughts

Agreed, I go through phases, sometimes a topic drags me in but I usually feel better when I stay away from arguments. At the end of the day I'd much rather talk about guitar or boobs......or better yet play with guitar and boobs.

Coming off a break myself, yet while on sabbatical it occurred to me I read Andrew Bacevich's new book, Washington Rules, Lord of the Rings collectors edition, and several political lectures as well as one on Game Theory. I don't think it is as much politics per say, as it is politics "round heer".

There is much to say for life's small tangible pleasures.

Do you have a link to support that? Are you trying to tell me what to do?
Is it raining fish in Italy? Do the French Like Fries?
Sound familiar?
