Obama Administration Gave General Electric

Quote:
The Obama administration gave corporate giant General Electric—the parent company of NBC--$24.9 million in grants from the $787-billion economic “stimulus” law President Barack Obama signed in February 2009, according to records posted by the administration at Recovery.gov.

Despite getting $24.9 million from U.S. taxpayers, GE decreased its U.S.-based employees by 18,000 in 2009, according to the company’s 2009 annual report.
Where did all this taxpayer money go? Offshore? In the pockets?

This is another example of everything that is wrong with obama's stimulus. Nothing but payback for their help in getting obama in the WH.

"Green" is a nightmare - just ask California.

No wonder MSNBC/NBC carries the water for obama.

Just checked their site, GE has 2638 job vacancies in the US, 11 in China, 1 in India, 1 in Brazil...
For instance they have laid off a lot of workers in their locomotive branch. I really don't like big companies, but what are they supposed to do if Americans like to drive instead of taking the train?
I don't think they should have taken those $25m though, for GE that's just nothing anyway.
