For all of thoise worried about Sharon Angle's husband recieving health care for his family after retiring and earning the benefits from his federal job comes this jewel that we all know ever single gimme something free person will agree was necessary.

As for me.. I think not.

Senate Office to Host Health Fair for Well-Covered Staffers - FoxNews.com

Here is the initial part of the article.

As millions of hardworking Americans struggle to make ends meet, Senate staffers will participate next week in a two-day orgy of back massages, organic food tastings and milk mustache photos.

It's all part of a health fair for the staffers, who enjoy some of the best health care in the country.

Many (most? all?) federal government agencies hold health fairs each year. Whether it is common for them to feature "seated massages, herbal teas, polarity therapy, low-fat cheese samples and organic foods", I can't say. But I know my agency held a fair each year (and as far as I know, it never featured any of the above).

The article states: "But based on their available health care benefits, Senate staffers don't appear to be in dire need of a health fair." That is false. In fact, it is because they have health care benefits available to them, and it is because those health care benefits change every year, that many (most? all?) federal agencies feel their employees need a health fair, with representatives from the various health insurance companies in attendance to explain the changes.

Personally (and selfishly), being a federal retiree I wish that federal agencies would make an attempt to reach out to and invite their retirees to each year's health fair, since it is just as important - if not more important - for retirees to know the changes in health plans as it is for current employees.

I don't understand your position.

I have attended Health Fairs as a worker in the private sector and as a gov't emoloyee. no difference. in the 2.

To be clear Angle did NOT recieve health CARE. He earned a health benefit. IE, the ability tp purchase health care INSURANCE.

Emoloyees of the gov't don't recieve any better, or worse health CARE than anyone else.

We go to the same doctors and hospitals as everyone else does.

It's the Government, hence it's bad.
