How is it deragatory? Didn't the Tea Party name itself after the Boston Tea Party as in defiance of Government Tyranny?
Now if you are referring to the homosexual slang term of "tea bagging" well the onus is on you since you should have researched that term beforehand!
Please don't tell me now that "tea baggers" are sensitive as to what they are called? You should be worried about the fact that we call you racists & bigots instead!
Sorry "tea baggers"!

Personally I'd like to see political discussions (or ANY discussions for that matter) minus the slagging off at either side with inflammatory names and derogatory terms, but that's just me...........YMMV

Hell I think I've been called a "leftie liberal" and a "rabid rightwingnut" in the same thread at times.........it's assinine......and as someone else said, using hateful terms just destroys any credibility your argument may have.

You know, if you're going to start a thread to self-righteously wag your finger at people who derisively say "teabagger", then your personal credibility might be enhanced by not derisively saying "*******". Just a hint.

Pot, meet kettle. You're both black.

there's no place for it in a civil conversation.
People who start w/the nicknames are simply trolls wanting to start a name calling party..

I'll never be the first, but once one of our resident window lickers starts with the name calling, I have no qualms about insulting the democrap party

No. It's no more appropriate than using derogatory names for black people, Jewish people or Hispanic people.

Im not sure why the left gets all the blame for this group they aren't exactly good for the Repugs either....
It is amazing how a few can give the entire group the appearance of out of control crazies.... ah well guess it's no difference than anyone that stands out, they taint all they associate with.

I'm sorry a few God loving Americans never herd the term and did not understand it was a dirty word . I don't want to be called that . Its nice to see your true feelings .
Every time "African Americans" change what they want to be called , Negro , Colored , black , whatever you just sit up and obey , don't you now?
