I agree, but what exactly is the discussion here? Second Amendment? Citizens in South Carolina are already allowed to have concealed weapons and the license' are extraordinarily easy to obtain. I'm not understanding the point of this thread.

That would be to show the anti gun gang that the police acknowledge that they can't be everywhere all the time so having citizens be legally armed is a good thing.
but, places like Spartanburg County are ground zero for Praise-Jeebus types, where the justice system is clogged full of drug crimes, since we are fighting a "war against drug users" instead of a "war against rapists."
I'm a firearms instructor and I carry whenever and wherever legally possible.
I hope you train a good number of women. If you have not read them already you should pick up Vicki Farnam's books (2) on teaching women to shoot or take one of her instructor courses.
great article. i agree however here when police say this stuff its bek they would rather the citizen get sued rather than the police department.

It would be good to state that in your original post. It is already a states rights issue and states that chose to have concealed weapons permits. Has the Second Amendment even been mentioned in the debates yet? I'm not understanding why a thread needed to be made on this.
