By 47 to 45 percent, Americans say Obama is a better president than George W. Bush. But that two point margin is down from a 23 point advantage one year ago.
That's a slide in the wrong direction for Obama and his supporters.
Now don't go shooting the messenger... I'm not a Bush fan, and I didn't vote for him in '00 or '04, but if I were to have to choose between the lesser of two evils and give my opinion of which is/was a better President, it would have to be Bush, hands down. He did a lot of things I didn't agree with, but he also did some things I did agree with. Obama has done virtually nothing that I support. Heck, the very first significant thing he did as President raised the tax on my tobacco from $1.10 per lb to over $24 per lb - the second largest tax increase in US history! (The largest was the tax on 'little cigars', which was part of the same legislation).
Anyway, just came across this and thought it was interesting. If the numbers keep trending the way they are, Obama will be less popular than the widely "hated" GWB - and Obama still has a second term to try for...

Obama is far from perfect and far less than I expected in a President but he is much better than Bush. Obama's biggest problem is that he does not LEAD. Bush did lead the country into disaster after disaster. I would not in a million years vote for Bush. At least with Obama I don't have to worry that I will wake up in the morning in World War 3 or Great Depression 2. It would be nice if Obama was more proactive as a leader and less laid back but he will do for now.

They will probably eventually lead to:
1. Higher taxes
2. Higher inflation
3. Default
All of which are preferable to Great Depression 3. If I had to choose, I would just tell the Chinese "sorry buds but we win't got the funds to pay y'all back".

You don't have to worry about another depression. Bush is no longer in office.
But both are terrible but if I had to pick between the 2 I'd have to pick Bush before democrats got control
