If tea party members and supporters repeatedly complain that only the rich pay taxes and 47% of Americans don't pay any taxes, what is their solution for this? Are they ok with half the country not paying taxes? How do they want to remedy this? They've made it clear that they want the rich to pay less taxes, but what about the people who don't pay, which is close to half of Americans, by their estimates. If they claim that they don't want to raise taxes on the lower half, are they essentially saying it's ok they don't pay taxes. If that's the case, why the complaining? Isn't it unfair that the rich would still continue to be the only ones that pay taxes, according to them.

I can't speak for the tea party...
but, we need to have all citizens contributing to the economy. This could mean that some lower income people will pay more. There are no free lunches
Another big step would be to crack down on illegal immigrants, and the employers of illegals. Combine that with a serious war on drugs, and we will start to see some real improvement.

So you want a tax increase on half the country?

Why does the left want to raise taxes on only half the country?

They don't know what they want.

Think about it, they've wrongly named their movement after an event that has nothing to do with what they are protesting. If they can't even understand fundamental American history, then how are they able to produce a concise message to their followers?

Flawed logic, but a nice try.

Nobody states that we want to pay zero taxes. Everyone should pay something. Get a couple of hundred a year from those who pay nothing.

They do? Half? When did this happen?

Aside from your faulty math, I must wonder when all these tax increases are finally going to happen? Before the election people like you screamed about it, one year later still nothing, and now two years later...nope. Yet here you all are still claiming it's about to happen at any minute! Boo!

That would mean increasing taxes, on half the country.
