Can't this Administration do ANYTHING to show support for its base??? I drove from San Antonio to Sta Fe, NM to campaign for him in hopes that we would have for once a progressive POTUS. I'm sorely disappointed in everything that he's done except for his healthcare plan.
He's always supporting things that right wingers would support and throws us (the progressive base) under the bus.
Would it be asking too much that his DOJ let the DADT federal judge decision stand or at least stop DADT proceedings until the 9th circuit decides?
Would it be asking too much that his DOJ let Ariz take care of its illegal problem rather than suing it?
Would it too much to ask that his DOJ let the people of Calif decide if MJ should be legal or not?
I will yet again reluctantly vote for Democratic candidates since they are the only ones who appear to be sensible and are concerned with human rights. But I and others like me had better see some sort of change in the next 2 years or else expect us to turn to Hillary in 2012.
Yeah, the Obama Administration has been a disappointment on many levels, but Hillary would be just as bad if not worse. And we're not going to get anyone like Kucinich or Grayson. Not in the military industrial complex known as the USA.
Boxer and Brown are opposed to prop 19 too.
Everyone is on the Drug War gravy train..
This isn't about what they really believe, it's about big bucks and political expediency..
Heck, when it gets down to it..they're almost all crooked..
