Thank you kindly. Now if the creationists would care to explain how antibiotic-resistant strains of bacteria emerge, if not by the mechanisms clearly explained by natural selection, that would help. Perhaps god creates a new strain every few months just to keep us on our toes?

The irony is no one was there so it's faith either way. I happen to believe that it takes a lot more faith to believe that earth was created out of random coincidental happenstance as opposed to the hand of a brilliant creator. Leftists, why do you love evolution so much?
Only in America.....

Truly bizarre.

We were all placed here by God, the Creator.

You can fight it all you want, you can't be uncreated.

I feel sorry for Sophia given her mommy's repeated displays of base ignorance. Hopefully she'll learn a thing and grow up to be a biologist.

Interesting post. I have often noticed that evolution is taking on all the hallmarks of mythology for moderns. How many people really have the biology/chemstry background to intelligently evaluate any debate about evolution? I know I don't. I had a year of high school bio, and one quarter of cell biology in college.

A hobby of mine is marathon running, and it's interesting to see how many references to evolution you run across at running forums. There's a whole debate over whether we should run barefoot as 'evolution' intended or wear shoes. So far the shoes are winning; podiatrists report a booming business treating the injuries of those who run barefoot.

I'm not saying I don't ascribe to evolution. I'm just saying that without realizing it, we've made it our mythology. A convenient way to explain things that we don't understand.
