Defund them.

The "programs" that they support, with the guise that they help the "average man" are designed to take down the economy and the capitalistic system as we know it.

They have become fifth columnists for George Soros and are interested in policy that is directly opposed to US interests.

Secondly, what y'all are talking about is what's generally referred to as a reconciliation bill. It has several functions, but the main one is to fund government activities in the interim, until Congress passes the actual appropriation bills for each Excecutive deparment.

Every Congress since about 1995 has resorted to a reconcilliation bill, including during those times when the Republican's controlled both Houses.

Were you outraged then, or is this just something new to be used to lambast the current adminisration?
It's not a reconciliation bill. It's called a Continuing Resolution.

This dereliction of duty is unprecedented. Never in the history of the modern process – dating back more than a quarter of a century – have both the House and the Senate failed to pass a budget resolution.
Oh please, you are firmly ensconced in obama's corner, no matter the evidence of his numerous failures before your very eyes.

In the first place, I notice that your sources of information add up to one...just one source, and that's discoverthenetworks.org.

DTN.org is owned by by Michael Finch (per sourcewatch.org), who is also the managing director of the David Horowitz Freedom Center, formally known as the Center for the Study of Popular Culture (CSPC)

The CSPC consists of three departments:

FrontPageMag.com, a conservative daily online magazine

Wednesday Morning Club, "a lunch forum that provides a platform in the entertainment and media industry for conservative speakers and ideas." [2]

The Individual Rights Foundation ("IRF"), which deals with conservative legal issues

In the 1990s, the CPSC sponsored the Committee for Media Integrity (COMINT), an organization designed to identify purported "liberal bias" in public television and promote the defunding of PBS (Public Broadcasting System).

According to CSPC tax filings, the organization paid over $300,000 to the Republican media consulting firm that ran racist campaigns for Jesse Helms.

In other words, it's hardly an unbiased source.

In the second place, you merely linked to a series of articles which show what organizations George Soros has contributed to, without any proof whatsoever that any of them "are designed to take down the economy and the capitalistic system as we know it," or "are interested in policy that is directly opposed to US interests." Nor does the last one offer up any evidence that anybody's "major agendas" are what they claim.

In short...try again.

Ah, yes! Contiuing resolutions...a whole 'nuther ball o' wax!

In 1997, the Republican's blocked a series of contiuing resolutions which led to the virtual shutdown of the federal government. In 2007, Congress passed, and George Bush signed, four...FOUR continuing resolutions! FOUR! Just to keep the government in business.

Was that a problem then, or is this something which just came up?

Budget resolution bills are not the same thing as funding the various departments of government. Those are the actual appropriations bills.

Budget resolution bills merely allocate prospective spending across many departments, usually in line with the President's budgetary requests (though not often), which provides a supposed guideline to the actual appropriations for each department or arm of the federal government.

Typically, identical bills are offered up in both Houses of Congress, but they may, or may not, be of any use in crafting the actual approriation bills.

Because congressional and presidential action on all 12 of the FY2008 (which began in 2007) regular appropriations measures were not completed until almost three months after the start of the fiscal year, Congress adopted and the President signed four CRs that sequentially extended funding for the outstanding bills from October 1, 2007, through
December 31, 2007.

Got anything else to say?

Amazing to watch how this liberal congress is hell bent on destroying America.

They are writing themselves a one way ticket out of America.

Liberalism is a dying thing in America thanks to this liberal congress and the gift of the failure in chief Obama.
