I am shocked. Just shocked. I don't believe it. I know the United States went there to bring freedom and democracy to those poor Iraqi people. I know because President Bush told us so.
I'm pretty sure they went the same reason every other country that sent a patrol unit or two did - they were pressured by the Bush Administration to get onboard. So although they thought it was ridiculous, they still sent a couple squads over so they could get put on the list "of the Willing". Aside from the Brits, that coalition is pretty much a sad joke, as some might say the Bush Presidency has turned out to be.
