Wake up yourself. He can say whatever he wants. NPR can fire him for saying something they don't like. It's not rocket science, it's money. It's also called 'employment at will'.

BUT they took a more sever left handed turn when the Spooky Dude money in the amount of $5 million arrived. Then they let CAIR force them into firing the man for saying something about Muslims that gave them an opportunity to do just what they did.

JUAN WILLIAMS: I Was Fired for Telling the Truth

By Juan Williams
Published October 21, 2010 | FoxNews.com

Yesterday NPR fired me for telling the truth. The truth is that I worry when I am getting on an airplane and see people dressed in garb that identifies them first and foremost as Muslims.

This is not a bigoted statement. It is a statement of my feelings, my fears after the terrorist attacks of 9/11 by radical Muslims. In a debate with Bill O’Reilly I revealed my fears to set up the case for not making rash judgments about people of any faith. I pointed out that the Atlanta Olympic bomber -- as well as Timothy McVeigh and the people who protest against gay rights at military funerals -- are Christians but we journalists don’t identify them by their religion.

And I made it clear that all Americans have to be careful not to let fears lead to violation of anyone’s constitutional rights, be it to build a mosque, carry the Koran or drive a New York cab without fear having your throat slashed. Bill and I argued after I said he has to take care in the way he talks about the 9/11 attacks so as not to provoke bigotry.

Forty minutes to Beck. Can hardly wait to see what he does with this. His show is so informative and entertaining. Love it!
LOL, Beck predicts it and it happens. The far left libs are showing those on FOX are ahead of them and know how they act and re-act. Good job Beck and FOX. Keep up the good work.

O'REILLY WAS RIGHT.

It was his job to offer opinion. Unless NPR told him what to say ahead of time, he was free to offer his point of view. That's what they hired him for.

Wonder who is pulling the strings behind NPR.

Juan Williams is not beloved by those of us on the right but he did not deserve to be treated like he did for pspeaking the truth. His firing will only silence others from speaking the truth and it hasa chilling effect on free speech, something the left is opposed to anyway.
NPR didn't even have the class to fire him in person. They did it over the phone.
Good reason to continue not supporting NPR. They have the right to hire and fire as they see fit, and we have the right not to support them.

And the American people can TURN OFF NPR and withhold their donations during this fundraising week and thereafter and demand government funding be withdrawn and support Gingrich and Huckabee and all others that are proposing this. And NPR can come out from their pretense of being a "NEWS" program that serves the "PUBLIC" and start marketing themselves as a Leftist,Progressive,Socialist Promoting Activist Group that they are. They are free to do that. Yup.

Same thing will happen this election and in 2012.

Even moderate journalists on programs will be nervous now about losing their jobs. Let reason come back to the media. No one can report the news honestly anymore until that happens. Vote conservatives in.

His truth, their non-objective opinion. People lose their jobs everyday for not upholding the conditions of their employment. He was warned twice before, I guess three strikes still means you are out.

And the taxpayers can call for no funding for them. It's called you work for us if you take our money. You are fired.
