This probably untrue or makeup. From my understand is, if you violated this, you just have to pay a big fine.

Funny it doesn't stop them from buying all the stuff made in China.
I guess supporting China's economy is more important than protesting their form of birth control.

China has had 30 year growth in it's economy while the US economy is tanking.
Why should I care as long as I got a job I'll continue to buy their crap.

Tell our government to stop borrowing from China. China will own us not by what Walmart shoppers do but what our big government does. Wake up and smell the coffee.

Yes, and it is getting worse. The long term consequences of this are going to be dire, not just for China but for the whole world. China's military is getting stronger every year. In 20 or 30 years when this male majority population is running things you are going to see a very aggressive China with the military power to back up that aggression. One of hte quickest ways to eliminate a male/female imbalance is to fight a war (where 99% of the service member casualties will be males). China lost a million people in the Korean war and the leadership didn't blink -- and that was when they had nothing to gain. Don't think that they wouldn't use war as a means of population control. Millions of men unable to find wives is very disruptive to teh country and the Chinese central government is all about keeping order and control.

Agreed.

I've been saying this here and elsewhere for years now. It's gonna be crazy to see how willing China will be to kill off it excess male population via war. First they'll imprison them, then they'll send them off to battle to die.

Then the only way to stop China is to make their economy so tied to ours it would be suicide if they wanted to go to war with us.

The way Obama is taking us now our country will owe China so much money they can take us over without a war.

One of China's numerous forthcoming problems is their long-running 'one child' policy'; they are also in a really deep fix on account of this boneheaded policy, due to the fact that there are millions of childless Chinese men (married and never-married) who have no sons to support them.

Look for China's expenses to support their elderly to skyrocket in the years ahead.

Maybe that is the way they want it. Boys to support their elderly parents but not able to reproduce any more children. Single men. I guess there will have to be many turning gay if they want partners.

Only the upper class will have the women to continue their race but they probably want it that way.

I am not sure I believe the couple interviewed by the Daily Mail is telling the entire truth. They are the only ones making this claim. Forced abortion is illegal in China. It is certainly not government policy as implied by the title of this thread.
