whats the point of generalizing if in reality you will see the person of a race/religion that you generalize every day that debunks your generalizing judgmental ideology?

In case anyone is confused by what i wrote. what i mean is why do people generalize people of color, and religion? if the truth of the matter is when you walk down the street you will see a person of the color that you hate everyday that inst living their life through your generalizations?

Because that's how the human brain functions. I don't care when liberals always come up with stupidity like "not all x's are like that!". Yeah, we know that, every one of us but I don't feel like getting tongue tied by political correctness

Good question. I know what you mean.

I have some relatives who are the spiritual descendants of Archie Bunker, but my cousin, who falls into that group, likes the black guy who works with him because THAT GUY is a good guy.

It's the rest of them--you know, the ones he doesn't actually know--who are all on welfare and steal watermelons and whatnot. But "Joe" is different, of course.

Those cousins get a little nervous and confused around my sister's husband, because he's a black guy who is better educated and makes more money than they do. They don't quite know what to make of that.

But, he loves baseball, just as they do, so they are able to carry on some semblance of conversation at family gatherings. Hehehe.

Correction that's how YOUR brain may function. I've met enough people spanning different races and cultures not generalize about them purely a visual first take.

Wasn't talking about visual perceptions. Talking about generalizations in conversation
