This time around, it is unlike anything this country has faced since the depression.

Unemployment Benefits: The 99ers - 60 Minutes - CBS News

“Never have we had a recession this deep with a recovery this flat.”

The stories are just heartbreaking.

And it is only going to continue to get worse before it gets better. Food prices are rising, taxes are headed up, energy prices will double if Cap & Trade goes through.

We need a Congress and a POTUS who actually knows how to stimulate business and bring our manufacturing back to the USA, like yesterday!

Yes it is bad & going to get worse.
Imagine how much worse it would be if unemployment benefits had been done away with.

Quite true. However, I believe there is a different agenda in play, and the powers that be (regardless of party affiliation) lack the will to do what is right for the american people.

YC.......

Because it's not a recession..it's a depression but they won't say that.
They are too afraid to say that IMO.
It took the US Government 5 years from 1929 to admit the country had problems.

If you are over 50 and under 62, you should be horrified. If you get laid off, you will probably never work again.

I firmly believe it's going to get a lot worse and the recovery, when it comes, will not return our standard of living to what we've become accustomed to. It's sad to think that this next generation will be the first that is likely not to be more successful than their parents' generation.

Just think of all the shadow inventory still held by the banks. The housing market is far from stable and the bottom hasn't fallen out yet. Add to that the economically deficient morons we have as leaders and we're in for the perfect storm of the ultimate destruction of America as we knew it.

I saw some program yesterday where a black college graduate kept going to job fairs but couldn't get a job. That may have been a big mistake. I have heard that job fairs are used to screen applicants out that might end up getting interviews if they sent their resume by mail. Then if they are not hired, but met the job requirements, the company would have to explain why.

Come on people it is all in the plans of one Barry Obama.

He needs to destroy us financially so we can be totally controlled by and rely on the government for everything we need.

He has been trained to know that when people are down and out they have to rely on or steal from those who have something.

In his mind he truly believes the American people are too stupid to see his game plan.

He has cost us 9 million jobs, has only talked about jobs a very few times in 21 months and knows that JOBS are the top issue of the day but yet does not talk about them.

He is a scam, a total joke and should resign.

The American people have had enough of his anti American ways and fraud committed onto the American people.
