It's no surprise you are a FOX watcher and cannot tolerate the simple fact that a "pledge of allegiance" is only one step on the slippery slope. But, of course, you are gung ho in favor of the non-stop "War on Terror", offering nary a discriminating view, pledging your blind allegiance to the cause.

So, of course, you would be offended if someone was told to recite some faux patriotism.

Whats next, are we all to have magnetic ribbons on cars, and little Made in China American flag pins on our breast pockets?

I'll take Samuel Johnson's view on the topic, or even agree with Mark Twain. If people want to do it, they can do it spontaneously or outside on their time, I don't need to hear anyone's faux patriotism but I respect your right to say and do it on your own time.

Simple question here. Are you a communist, socialist or anarchist? Or does your loyalty rest with a country other than the U.S.A.?

That's either clever and subversive, or frightening.

I think it is a valid question.

As a presumed American citizen, what exactly about the pledge of allegiance do you find so offensive?

We used to start the day every day in PUBLIC SCHOOLS with the pledge and a prayer. That was before the socailist movement, at the behest of the Frankfurt School, launched the all out offensive on the church, the family, national pride, and the middle class.

Oddly, the sentiments and beliefs that were most cherished in the American of old are the same sentiments that are most hated by the left. One would almost offer that thier core values are ............ well................ anti-American.

Such a predictable reaction. Kind of like when my dog's mouth waters when I fill his food bowl. LOL

From Dr. Britt's 14 Points of Fascism:
14 POINTS OF FASCISM

1. Powerful and continuing expressions of nationalism

From the prominent displays of flags and bunting to the ubiquitous lapel pins, the fervor to show patriotic nationalism, both on the part of the regime itself and of citizens caught up in its frenzy, was always obvious. Catchy slogans, pride in the military, and demands for unity were common themes in expressing this nationalism. It was usually coupled with a suspicion of things foreign that often bordered on xenophobia.

See how it starts....people telling other they are un-American for not reciting some "slogan"...

Since WHEN is it the LAW that you can't be an American if you don't recite the "pledge"?

Since when do Americans have to PROVE they are really Americans?

Now, do all the repugs here leap out of bed every morning , face the flag on their wall , and recite the Pledge??? If notthen get the hell out of this country NOW!

Yes I pray for all the lost unfortunate souls called liberals every morning that they may see the errors of their ways.
