An aide to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid repeatedly lied to federal immigration and FBI agents and submitted false federal documents to the Department of Homeland Security to cover up her illegal seven-year marriage to a Lebanese national who was the subject of an Oklahoma City Joint Terror Task Force investigation, FoxNews.com has learned.
Quote:
Diana Tejada, Reid’s Hispanic Press Secretary, admitted to receiving payment for “some of her expenses” in exchange for fraudulently marrying Bassam Mahmoud Tarhini in 2003, strictly so he could obtain permanent U.S. residency, according to court documents.
Seems to me a lot going on in the Democratic Party, that is being uncovered, But getting a free pass as usual. Does not surprise me in the least. If this happened to be a Republician, it would be making headline news. Unbelievable.

Because there's probably not a single "clean" person in DC to call him out and start a cleansing.
What did dirty harry know and when did he know it? Did he "intervene" for his aide with charges from the feds? Why wouldn't they charge her in this scheme? These are the questions that need answers.
This will just go away because he is a DEMORAT. Double standards and hypocrisy. The lefters will scream that it is not his fault and that he did not do it - it was his aide and how is he responsible for her?? HOWEVER - the Rand Paul supporter that supposedly harmed a women at a rally.....well, that is Rand Paul and the Republican's fault. What a consistent pattern the left weaves for themselves.
The timeline on all this is pretty interesting - the LA Times, CNN & CBS news are now reporting on the story. They all like to poke fun at FOX, but it's FOX that is breaking the big stories for the last couple of years. They have more investigators and a huge operation - no wonder the Oministration has declared "war" on them.

According to the report, Tejada came clean about the nature of the union in 2008. In 2009, Tarhini pleaded guilty to felony charges for participating in the fraud, and he was deported earlier this year.
Tejada did not face charges, and her divorce to Tarhini - which was filed shortly after he was deported - was finalized in July 2010.
Tejada joined Reid's office in 2008.
Reid spokesman Jim Manley said the office had not been aware of these charges against Tejada prior to the Fox News report. CBS News
The FBI runs a background check on EVERYONE who works at the Capitol - it's deeper for a staffer for the Senate Majority Leader. Tejada was Reid's Press Secretary, not a "junior staffer" as he is now saying.
His office knew and ignored it - then they suppressed any criminal charges against her. Another black mark on the corrupt Department of Justice.

Court documents show that Tejada, who has worked for Reid for the past two years, knowingly filed false documents with Homeland Security, lied on multiple occasions to FBI and Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents and submitted false marriage and immigration documents.
Earlier this year the Lebanese, who was being investigated by a joint terrorism task force, was deported. But for her part, Tejada was not charged with anything. A Justice Department official declined to explain how the aide to the top senator in Congress went uncharged for perjury, among other crimes.
A spokesman for the 70-year-old Reid told Fox News' Jana Winter on Monday evening that the senator's office was unaware of the investigation and referred to the aide as a junior staffer, although she was paid $52,451 by Reid last year. L.A.Times
The LA Times article also says that Tejada was appearing on a Spanish-language program on Reid's behalf as recently as Sept. 21, ironically discussing the do's and don't's of immigration rules. That's a month ago - this stuff has been going on for years.
They all think they can't get away with anything and the public is too stupid to notice or care. I think they are about to find out differently. Reid says this is a "smear campaign" against him - ignoring all those pesky court documents and the terrorism investigation about his press secretary's husband. You can't make this stuff up.
