The Nevada Democratic Party is lashing out at a conservative Hispanic group over an ad the group is launching that urges Latinos -- a critical Democratic voting bloc in the state -- to stay home on Election Day.

Republicans know that the best way for them to win is to suppress voter turnout.

Sounds good to me. I'm both amazed and thrilled that Republicans found some guts.

Good.

I can tell you to stay home for whatever reason I want.

If you do it because I told you to do it, you don't deserve to win anyway.

All's fair...

Edit: By "you", I don't mean you specifically. I mean in general.

The group Latinos for Reform is launching a 60-second ad today in Nevada. The spot urges Latinos to abstain from voting in order to punish Democrats for failing to deliver on immigration reform.
Republican LATINO group.

So what? They really could stay home.

They only make up 10% of the registered voting public in Nevada.

The list of states with a high concentration of Latino voters is quite different from the one above: Arizona, California, Nevada, Texas, New Mexico, and Florida (10%+ of registered voters of these states are Latino)

Of more than 1.1 million who registered, 42 percent (470,919) were Democrats, while slightly less than 37 percent (410,811) were Republicans. Non-partisans made up nearly 5 percent of voter registrations, officials reported.

It's not the fact that they're Latino, it's the fact that the dems are leading in registered voters so the LATINO REPUBLICAN GROUP put out an ad telling the DEMS not to vote DEMOCRAT.

Nothing more or less. This ain't about "race". It's about VOTES.

May the best candidate win.

Oh please. Spare the feigned indignation. We've all heard the stories of the deceased democrats showing up at the polls and voting.
Now THAT'S sleazy.

And creepy.

Not to mention a crime.
