Exactly. And the only thing Obamacare does is escalate the rate at which it will happen. The combination of increased costs, and the knowledge that there are other alternatives available will make it very tempting for the employers to drop coverage. As one CEO said.."We don't want to be the first-but we'll be a very fast second".

Again, put the blame for that where it belongs-Obamacare.

I've worked for the same Hospital for six years. Full coverage benefits were part of the employment packege I signed up for. Those costs have gone up every year, the hospital takes great pains to remind us of the fact. Last year they released just how much each package cost them and my package cost 23k, of which I paid 8%. In my opinion a super deal for me. Next year they might not be able to swing the 23k for a thousand employees. They pay the fine and now it's your problem. Why wouldn't they drop coverage?

your problem is you work and pay your obligations. the fines are to give free health care to obama voters while we get nothing well except fines. I cannot get health ins as I had cancer in 1987 .since then I have paid all expenses out of pocket cash and owe no one a dime, my reward hey sukka you get to pay a fine for doing that. thanks obama you idiot

It's unfortunate that employers in America have become mercenary and that employers are finding ways to screw over good employees.
It's really unfortunate that it seems to be necessary for new rules in the workplace to protect employees from mistreatment by their employers.

And, again, there are tax benefits for the employers to offset the cost of the health insurance.

And, btw, the alternatives are?....

What was different then and now? They were and are still employers.

They were good then, they are the bad guy now. What turned your job into the bad guy?

Cost/benefit equations. When they cost you more than they benefit you, they're a bad guy. When they benefit you more than they cost you, they're a good guy.

Why can't everybody understand such a compact and totally accurate response such as that one?

Well done.
