His Senate bid may have failed, but outgoing Florida Gov. Charlie Crist may still make his mark ... on rock and roll history: He’s considering pardoning Jim Morrison for indecent exposure charges at a 1969 concert. “It's something I’m willing to look into in the time I have left,” Crist told the Hill.

The ghost of Jim Morrison was unable to be reached for comment on this one however...

Maybe he can pardon Pee-Wee Herman too, since that happened in Florida as well...

There is actually an active wanted poster with a reward for the offense. When he died it was never called in. The Sheriff that issued it refused to withdraw it and is the only man that can besides the Governor . he later sold the original warrant at Christies for 5 million dollars

It reminds me of Pataki pardoning Lenny Bruce. It would've been nicer if Claude Kirk or Rubin Askew had pardoned Morrison while he was still alive (or if Nelson Rockefeller had pardoned Lenny while he was still alive).

I believe it's only been in the last decade or so that Jeff. Davis was granted his citizenship rights. You maybe heard of Jefferson--he was the President of the Confederacy.
