Since "real wages" haven't risen in this country very much in decades, I'm not sure why you think employers should get away with trying to blame any future "wage cuts" on taxes.

Seen any CEOs in the welfare lines recently?

Avoiding the topic.. If they are cutting wages in order to PAY THE TAXES.. Then A = A.. You dont get to blame things from "decades" on future actions.

And let us know how your mom does without medicaid. Eventually, other countries will stop lending to us. They'll just own us. Can't borrow your way forever, can ya'?

Repubs seem to base all their political attacks on what MAY happen if................ I call that "Chicken Little Politics". The entire platform is based on fear mongering.

My prediction is that right after the election the democratic plan will pass in a lame duck session with the necessary votes in Congress. Bottom 98% will get a continuation of the Bush tax cuts. The rest.........it's time to pay the piper.

Why wait? If tax cuts were so popular for 98% of the population, they would pass them NOW... Election day is 6 days away, you dont think they would pass them for votes? Fact what will happen is they will expire, no doubt about it, and it will take Republicans next year to write a new bill that will retroactive the cuts...

The fact is Democrats dont want the tax cuts.. You dont even hear them talking about them.. And when they do, its just a matter of "blame Republicans" for Democrats own inactions.. Pathetic that anyone buys this garbage...

Right. It's easier to believe corporate spokessheeple than to think critically for yourself. Got it.

Really, all you're doing is buying the BS lines fed by corporations to justify continued belt tightening to squeeze as much out of workers for as little compensation as possible.

How much did wages go up when tax cuts were implemented? If not in proportion, then there is no relationship.

Either wages have a correlation with the tax rate, or they do not. Since wages have remained flat, what's the explanation, given the various tax policies over the past decades?

Dems don't have the votes now because of Republican obstructionism. Last thing repubs want is for Obama to save the cuts for 98% of the voting population right before an election. After the election, there will be many lame duck senators and congressmen who will forego the party line and vote for the limited extension. Count on it.

Could say that Dems are blocking the tax cuts for all Americans. Guess it depends on your perspective and whether you believe the income tax system is meant as a tool for social justice or as an equally apportioned tax as a means of funding the minimal functions of government as our founding documents prescribe.

Dems...the party of NO, especially on PAYGO. (love that rhymin' feeling)

As a self employed individual, I have to make similar budgets. They are very real.. You can ignore it but that doesnt mean it isnt taking place in thousands of boardrooms across the nation. Do you have anything to indicate the story is a lie? I'm supposed to take YOUR word over people that do budgets.. right.. got it..

Wages continue to increase despite your claims. Even in todays economic hardship they go up.. Table 5. COMPENSATION (NOT SEASONALLY ADJUSTED): Employment Cost Index for total compensation, for private industry workers, by occupational group and industry

Do you want to post something factual, or do you want to keep making up arguments as you go along that are false?
