This isn't to pressure anyone one way or another, personally, I'm 17, can't vote, and it looks like politicial parties should be disbanded because either one or the other rules the country....
BUT, in Missouri, Carnahan and Blunt are really flinging mud, and I asked my dad, who will you vote for, because it looks to me like neither belongs in office...
Why don't we not allow mudflinging? And why do we allow political parties? "A House divided against itself cannot stand" well we've only got 2 parties that are competetive in the elections.
A lot of people are wanting "new blood" in Congress, but it almost seems like we need people with LESS political experience, and more WORK experience in our Nation's Offices....our politicians never worry about losing their jobs, because they've hardly had real ones like a lot of people out in the real world...
So, my question (and others, if you'd like to answer them) is how do you decide who you are going to vote for?
My parents usually vote for Ike Skelton, since he is a Democrat, but votes largely republican.... Well he's voting with his party now, and so many people are giving their votes to the new Republican candidate...
Its usually politicians like these that seem to make me sick, because they say they'll vote with their values and beliefs but end up voting with the corporation/organization/party that pays them or that they are in.
But how do you decide who you'll vote for? No one has the same ideals as everyone else, so where do you draw the line, and say, he has 2 things that I want? 6 things that I like? So I'll vote for him/her?

I vote for someone when they state clearly what they want to do and how they plan on getting it done and I agree with their thoughts. I do not vote for those that do nothing more whine about those already in office yet do not make public their ideas and their plans on how to get them accomplished. That means never voting straight ticket since no Party has all the answers, including the TPers.
