The premise of OP is flawed and ridiculous. I'm not a fan of "Christian" politicians spewing their theology and morals, but every Christian I know came to a point (usually, later in life) when they realized they didn't like the way their life had panned out (or how they lived it). To come to conviction later in life (and thus, change your morals) doesn't mean their new found beliefs are invalid due to past indiscretions. I mean really, we have gotten to the point where Gandhi or Mother Theresa couldn't run for office without being made out to be a two-faced nazi or communist.
