Drug trafficking and worship of Santa Muerte, the goddess of drug trafficking and drugs are one and the same. The cartels are very much into Santa Muerte worship.

Santa Muerte is a grim reaper type figure, the Death goddess, a skeleton wearing a robe. The death worshippers very much glorify all the death taking place in Mexico, they crave death and human sacrifice, but they also taunt their cartel enemies with the gruesome things they do to kill them.

The victims are handcuffed - sometimes with duct tape or plastic ties and their feet are bound and they get their heads slowly cut off. If they resist they are severely beaten so they'll sit still for the procedure. Usually they are forced to name names and rat out their own gang.

Now it's common for the decapitations to be done to women - but the women are just as much into death worship. The drug dealers are a death cult but a great number of them are also drug addicts, and they mix up some very powerful and mind-destroying meth down in Mexico.

Drug addiction is big in Mexico now - and many Mexicans in the USA are very much addicted to drugs. The drug cartels control their hitmen through addiction to drugs. When you addict people with the right kind of drug, they'll do absolutely anything at all to get their drug. Anything - many of these people would decapitate their own mother for their drug.

The difference is that we can do something if the Government would act, to stop the influx of the Mexican Drug Cartel, who do this regularly.

Occassional, independently acting, rogue psycho-killers are a bit harder to predict and stop.

Regardless of the stand on immigration these types of crimes CANNOT be allowed to continue or set a trend.
They need to find who did this and make a LOUD and very PUBLIC statement with harsh punishments.
If this is the first they need to do all they can so it will be the only and last.

I think we all can agree that we do not want this type of drug related crime coming to the US regardless of which state or party.

Our government needs to reinforce border security as the situation in Mexico is bound to make its way over here if illegal immigration continues unchecked. Although I'm not against folks coming over here to better their lives, national security is critical and Mexico is officially a war zone where the Mexican government is engaged in a losing war with the cartels. Now is NOT the time to be lax in our immigration policies.
