The news story I saw on TV had the NJ township blaming some poor lowly clerk who issued the permit cause he didn't know better. Liz

Not sure how noisy the wind mill is or is not. If it is noisy he should take it down or make it so it is less noisy. Personally, I am all for self-sustainability. My current house has solar panels which we installed when we were having those rolling blackouts in CA. Let me tell you being self-sufficient is definitely worth it when the power grid isn't there. Also works wonders in times when energy prices are skyrocketing.
