Would have been cool to be there. Everyone having a good time these days, especially with a crowd of this size is hard to come by. One of my favorite signs was the reproduction of the Willsboro "god hates" signs that reads 'god hates snuggies'. Still LMAO.
Hippies have come a long way since the sixties. All one can do anymore is laugh in the face of the ignorance and heartlessness that plagues this country. I pretty damn sure this is what Stewart and Colbert were attempting to stress. Anyone that sees anything else is nothing but blind. Nothing new, hey?
Quote:
"It's a perfect demographic sampling of the American people," Stewart cracked to a crowd filled with mostly younger whites. "As you know, if you have too many white people at a rally, your cause is racist. If you have too many people of color, then you must be asking for something — special rights, like eating at restaurants or piggy back rides."

Lookit, this, sanrene, from that article about the Seattle rally:
Armed with homemade signs
Aren't you the one who got so het up about "manufactured signs" from the "libs"?
Agreed. The stewart rally was truly the best i've seen in a very long time, if not ever. It was nothing but happy people dancing, laughing, and having a good time. Though the sad part, is the well known ultra far right members of this board are trying in a failed attempt to find ANYTHING they can muster up to attack and make the rally into something bad.
