The future of the recovery already looked dim with many economists revising their outlooks downward. Even the Fed says we'll be lackluster until mid 2012 or even later.
There were no green shoots. This is "L" shaped and until the debt is flushed from the system we will continue to bump along the bottom.
The Dems had 2 years with Congress + President and they didn't do much. All the spending and programs were short lived blips that made the GDP look good but did nothing to create a more permanent recovery. Quick bandaids.
Everyone who was hoping for a "V" recovery has hopefully realized that it just ain't happening.

Gridlock is a huge step forward from what we have now.

Gridlock is good. No compromise, ever. Compromising with Democrats mean defeating the very reason why people are very excited about the GOP in the first place. Compromise means slowly advancing the Obama agenda.

America was a nation built on compromise. If you fail to see that you know nothing about your own history. What's happening in government is disgusting and it will ruin our country. This whole right left paradigm is pretty illustrative of the deeper problems plaguing American society and us as people. The left is no different than the right on paper. They are both for the corporation. They are both exerting more influence over your life i.e. growing government. Under Bush we had the biggest increase in government bureaucracy in the past 30 years with the creation of ICE/HomeLand Security and TSA etc. I guess you're one of those very intelligent Americans that think we are all safer because of it too right? Those big bad evil terrorists aren't going to be able to hijack your plane?
America is a nation of ideas, cultures, beliefs etc. And it's time our government represent that. It's time for the whole left right paradigm and conservative liberal clap trap to die off if we are ever going to succeed as a nation. It sounds cliche but we really do need to work together.

The unbrainwashed? HAHA.......you're a walking, talking cliche guy. The GOP is as corrupt, demoralizing, antifreedom, pro fascist as any liberal or democrat in Washington. The democrats and the republicans are two sides of the same coin. You think in the business corporate world it matters what political spectrum you fall into? No......if you're a corporatist all you care about is the bottom line and making money. The George Soros and the Rockefellers of the world don't care about your politicals views. All they care about is power and control. There have been as many democrats who have shipped jobs overseas as republicans. Nixon, Reagan were responsible for pushing through Monsanto's GMO and rBGH agenda. You probably don't even know anything about that do you? Keep drinking the kool aid. Divid and conquer is the oldest trick in the book.

Gridlock is better then having every socialist entitlement program in the world, shoved down our throats. And at least it check some of Obama's excessive spending.
