Hmm Republicans freaking out and lying about a cost of a trip when a Democrat is in the White House. I wonder how concerned they were about the cost of trips when Bush was in office.....

Oh man don't get started on that. The left loves taking the word of many "provincial officials halfway around the globe as fact and truth."

But both sides are guilty from time to time.

I do not believe everything I read on the internet without research. But mistakes happen to the best of us.

================================================

The point is:

What if the figure really is 20 million,50 million, or 150 million? How would you feel about that?

Why won't the White House reveal the expected cost if it says 200 million is not true?

Don't forget the booking of the NCPA.

How much do you think these rooms will cost alone per day?

Costs for trips have generally been a security issue, and has been for sometime. How many costs of Bush trips do we know for example?

As a side note in the Cooper interview with Bachmann that was posted in the other thread, Cooper mentions that Clinton's big trip to Asia, which was bigger than this one, and though of the largest for any sitting U.S President was $50 million for the whole trip.

A) That was over 10 years ago. Costs have gone up big time since then.

B) We shall see who holds the record after this Obama Indian trip.

C) I am sure that if Bush spent more on a foreign trip than Clinton the press would have been all over it. It should be easy to find.

From October of 2009

"With his visit to Denmark to pitch Chicago as the site for the 2016 summer Olympics, President Barack Obama has now visited more countries in his first year in office than any other president did."

"Obama will add more before his first year anniversary. He'll visit China, Japan, Singapore and South Korea next month."

Obama's No. 1 -- most foreign travel by first year president | McClatchy

I will have to look for stats for his 2nd year (even though it is not over yet.)

The figures are not correct. 1. the Secret service does not identify the cost of any of the presidential trips as a whole. though a Clinton trip was once reported to be $50M which was believed to bet he most expensive.

2. an anonymous India reported the 200M figure and had nothing to get it from ..it was a made up number the reps have latched on to. There is no accuracy. will it cost 20 million yea prob. but they have 2000 people going.

The right wing never fail to amuse me.

Of course this 'report' is unsubstantiated.

I'm not sure it's a wise idea for him to go to India.

34 warships sent from US for Obama visit

His life might be in danger over there in Pawkeestahhn and Eendeeah.
