More like $5-$7 depending on the country (the UK has the highest prices with the rest of Europe being lower including Germany) but on average European cars get much better gas miliage then American ones plus diesel powered cars have a 50% market share so you can easily get a large car like a VW Passat getting 45 mpg (and diesel is $1-$3 cheaper per gallon depending on the country). Not to mention unlike in the US there is light rail and other mass transit EVERY WHERE so you literally don't need a car to get around and you won't feel deprived. In fact my uncle really only uses his car on the weekends as the mass transit is so good for the daily commute.

My question for you is do those same workers in Germany work a 40 hour standard work week plus overtime? Do you they have more or less than 2-3 weeks paid vacation? When you add healthcare to the mix, doesnt it even out? How much of the 30/hour is paid in taxes?

In American terms, that 30/hr is a base salary of 58,000/year. The 15/hour is roughly 29,000/year base salary.

It is still better to work for a living. Look at Greece. They are use to being given everything and retiring at 55. A nation cannot sustain that for long. We are heading the way of Greece. Our younger workers cannot support everybody who has retired and more and more on welfare each year.

Tell the Dems to stop bailing out the big corps. GM should have gone bankrupt. Ford is still going strong. YEA Ford. Let the good companies take over where the bad companies go under.
